China’s increased urbanization and blooming development of E-Commerce has caused an increasing demand for consumer goods and better efficiency of distribution and transport. On the one hand more and more logistics volumes burden the city traffic, and on the other hand serious traffic situations like congestion can hinder the efficiency of transport and distribution.  Inefficient logistics systems damage the environment and climate. How to organize the distribution and transport effectively has already become a challenge for the government as well as for logistics companies. Under the framework of the GIZ project “Green Logistics”, a study tour on “City Logistics & Drop & Pull” has been organized jointly with Shenzhen Logistics & Supply Chain Management Association from September 9th to September 20th 2014 in Germany.
