Markus Wagner joined GIZ in October 2015 as a Project Manager, responsible for the coordination of cross-sectoral project activities in the fields of energy and transport. Since 2017 he has been working on issues related to the energy transition in the Chinese and German transport sector within the framework of the Sino-German Cooperation on Mobility and Fuels Strategies. Before joining GIZ, he worked for TUM CREATE in Singapore and Technische Universität München in Munich on electromobility in megacities and rural areas. Markus holds a PhD in electrical engineering from Technische Universität München.
